Tribute Band Vocalist/Guitarist Continues To Perform Kiss Cover Despite His Hair Catching Fire

Bobby Jensen, vocalist/guitarist for cover band Hairball who specialize in paying tribute to arena rock, didn’t let the fact that his hair was on fire stop him from performing live during their February 08th set in Sioux City, IA. The band were performing a cover of Kiss‘ “Detroit Rock City” when a spark from nearby pyro set his head ablaze with his bandmates and stage crew eventually putting out the flames.

Jensen told Ultimate Classic Rock of the incident:

“I live an Evil Knievel kind of life, so if I’m on fire a little bit, I don’t care, that’s just part of the fun. I knew I was on fire right away, and that wasn’t a wig, that’s my hair. It was really nice and foofy before the show, now I have a much better Alice Cooper cut.”

While the incident was a new experience for Jensen, he admitted it wasn’t entirely unexpected:

“…We always prepare for it. That’s why you didn’t see me freak out. I have 100% faith in my guys that they’ll get to me and put me out. So I just thought, ‘I’ll sing to everybody while I’m on fire.'”
