If you’re unaware, on this day (January 20th) back in 1982, Osbourne infamously bit the head off a dead bat which was thrown onstage by a 17-year-old fan named Mark Neal during a live show at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Des Moines, IA.
If you’re wondering why someone would throw a dead bat onstage, at the time, Osbourne himself had previously developed an infamous reputation after biting the head off a dove during a meeting with CBS Records.
