High On Fire Back In The Studio For New Material

High On Fire having been making the most of their unexpected downtime following frontman Matt Pike‘s partial toe amputation. That surgery forced the band to cancel their planned November run and as such, they’ve been in the studio lately working on new material.

While they haven’t elaborated on what those sessions will produce, they have confirmed that it will arrive as part of next year’s traditional ‘Record Store Day‘ series of releases, which looks set to take place on April 20th. The band’s latest album “Electric Messiah” hit stores this past October.
