Original Story:
Ghost had to cut their set in Milwaukee, WI short tonight, May 31st, after a fan suffered a serious medical emergency during the intermission of their show at the Riverside Theater. Jsonline.com have a witness report that a male concertgoer collapsed in the pit around 9:15pm during an intermission. CPR was issued and the man was transported to hospital, though his name and condition were not readily available.
For what it’s worth, various fans who claim to have attended the show have stated via the band’s social media and other mediums that the fan in question remained unresponsive while CPR was being administered, with numerous reporting that he appears to have passed.
Ghost themselves have since issued the below statement on the matter:
“Tonight, in Milwaukee there was a medical emergency with one of our fans. We decided not to continue out of respect to him and his family. Ghost and all who work with us ask that you please send the family your thoughts, prayers and respect their privacy during this time.”
A brief video report on the matter with footage from the scene was filed over at CBS58.com. The apparently tragic incident took place as Ghost were celebrating tonight’s release of their new album, “Prequelle“.
