Concrete Dream aim to bring their self-described ‘trap metal’ to the masses with their debut EP, “Inverse“, which will be out on June 22nd. The New Jersey natives have released a music video for their song “Catch 22” from it below. The band are being championed by Lord Ezec (Skarhead, Crown Of Thornz, etc.), who signed them to his E-Train Records label. Ezec commented:

“I met [Concrete Dream vocalist] Jeremiah Mayhem and immediately liked him. He was genuine. He was real. He was like a younger version of me. Once he played me the music I was blown away. I met the band and saw a real tight unit. They care about their music and the message. Their live show says it all and that’s why I knew I needed to sign them. I want to help advance them to get their voices heard.”

Speaking of Catch 22, Jeremiah commented:

“The story of ‘Catch 22‘ is about a hard-working guy whose whole world is crashing. We get so consumed with the losses in front of us, it destroys us. The video shows that your life is not defined by your job, or your girlfriend. It’s worth your life to live beyond those things. The catch 22 happens, everyone suffers, but we can survive.”

“All of the songs on the EP are about struggle. It is about a cycle in most people’s lives – we love something, we lose it, mess it up, or it leaves us, then we feel pain, and then we find a way to escape the pain. Then we repeat, again and again. This negative to positive cycle drives us forward, and we’re inspired by both the good and the bad.”
