Roughly two years later, composer/musician Mick Gordon‘s original soundtrack for the 2016 video game ‘DOOM‘ remains the high-water mark when it comes to original heavy video game music. This July it will be issued on vinyl via Laced Records in a special box set with pre-orders up now at this location.
In addition to crafting some particularly gnarly industrial metal for the soundtrack, Gordon also managed to fit some evil imagery into the actual songs. You may also recall that Periphery‘s Matt Halpern sat in on drums during a live performance of the material at the 2016 edition of ‘The Game Awards‘.
