Resurrected 90’s nü metal clothing favorite, JNCO, have turned to crowdfunding to launch a new kids line. The company are hoping to raise $100,000 for the line, which you can preview over at Kickstarter.com. JNCO said of their plans:
“Here’s the thing: You love the nineties. And so do we. The nineties were great because they were colorful, loud, and full of possibilities for every underdog. You’ve got to admit it feels moderately painful to see our kids having to grow up in those uncomfortable dark-wash skinny jeans, hipster uniform gray long-sleeves, with all their fashion restrictions and style-worries and not even the slightest idea what SoCal cool means.
- Advertisement -Because of that – and because so many of you have been poking us about it (yes, we hear ya!) – we’ve decided to pass on that 90s spirit of freedom, fashion rebellion, and skate & surf vibe to the next generation. Finally, the wait is over! Drumroll please… Welcome #JNCOnextgen and get pumped for the launch of our Kickstarter campaign to fund the long-awaited JNCO Kids Line!
With the support of our awesome fanbase, we are getting ready to offer our most iconic items to a whole new generation with our JNCO Kids Line. The crowdfunding campaign will launch on Kickstarter on April 3rd and we’re so pumped we can’t contain ourselves. There will be tons of exclusive limited JNCO goodies for our backers to snag (while they last; early bird items are going to be hot commodities!) and the obvious amazing outfits for your favorite little people.
Initially, we will aim to design for the youth and pre-teen market: age range 5 to 12 years old. We’ll kick it off with kid-sized versions of our most famous jeans, tees, and hoodies with many of the prints you love most but also add some epic new artwork to the mix. If the Kickstarter campaign is a success, we expect the full product line to be available in shortly after, perfectly in time for the summer season. Come on, just imagine the looks of your uptight neighbor when you and your mini-me make an appearance in matching JNCO style at the 4th of July party. Oh, so good.”
