Korn's Brian "Head" Welch

Brian “Head” Welch Doesn’t Think Deftones Want To Tour With Korn Anymore

Recent years have found Korn taking on some nostalgic tours, including runs with Limp Bizkit and Slipknot. One band they haven’t toured with recently from their past however is the Deftones, whom they previously shared quite a kinship with. Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch was recently asked by if the members of Korn were still ‘close’ with Deftones, to which he replied:

“No. When we see ’em, it’s, like, ‘Hey, bro, what’s going on?’ But we’re not close with ’em. They just like to do their own thing. We would like to tour with ’em again one day, but I don’t think they want to, so… But it’s all good. When we see ’em, we just don’t talk about touring. We’re just, ‘Hey, bro. How’s the family?’ Stuff like that.”

The insightful interview finds Welch randomly picking various CD’s from the group’s past and sharing his thoughts on them, including their past label Elementree Records, working with producer Ross Robinson and more.
