Open Hand Recruit Gil Sharone For New Album, Ex-Nothingface Bassist Bill Gaal Producing

Open Hand‘s long-awaited new album “Weirdo” is still eyeing a release later in the year and the band have assembled an interesting team to bring it to fruition. Drummer Gil Sharone (Marilyn Manson, ex-The Dillinger Escape Plan, etc.) has been behind the kit for the studio sessions while former Nothingface bassist Bill Gaal has been producing.

In the meantime, the group will soon release a new live bootleg album capturing a March 11th, 2010 show they played at the Rainbow Bar & Grill in West Hollywood, CA. You can hear “You And Me” from that set, which is due out on April 01st, below. They have also announced that they will perform at The Dirty Dog Bar in Austin, TX on March 15th alongside P.O.D. as part of a SXSW showcase.
