Tommy Vext‘s (ex-Divine Heresy/Snot, etc.) latest outfit Westfield Massacre have signed with Urban Yeti Records and will release their debut album late this spring. Vext commented:
“We aspired to make this something theatrical and brought in very talented people to work on the album, the artwork and the music videos, which will be a short film trilogy. I just wanted to take the music and make something bigger than just another metal band.”
Recording has been taking place at Echelon Studios with Joseph McQueen and said of the band’s music:
“There’s definitely a traditional American metal vibe, but we blend Power Metal, Melodic Death Metal, Metalcore altogether to get an original flavor to our sound.”
When news of the band first emerged back in 2014 drummer Tim Yeung (ex-Divine Heresy/Hate Eternal, etc.) was a member of the outfit. He no longer holds that position with Dio Britto now handling that role.
