Five Finger Death Punch Guitarist Says New Album Is “More Uptempo”

Five Finger Death Punch guitarist Zoltan Bathory expects the bands new album “Got Your Six” (out August 28th) to be a more uptempo affair. He told Billboard of it:

“It’s a little bit more uptempo. There was a conscious effort that, ‘We don’t want to have too many slow songs,’ you know? We wanted a little bit of an uptempo record. It’s more faster and mid-tempo songs.”

“I think it’s coming from the live shows, yeah. When you’re playing live shows you feel the energy of the crowd. It’s the high-energy and midtempo songs that make the audience move and connect. You can drop your little ballads here and there, but we know what people like, and when we started everybody said, ‘Yeah, we need more of those [uptempo songs].'”

In the fall the band will embark on this tour with Papa Roach, In This Moment and From Ashes To New behind it.
