Last night Northlane made the following posting in which they continued to remain tight lipped on the identity of their new vocalist. Despite their best efforts, an errant Instagram post appears to have spelled out the singers identity. As many fans have suspected, it looks to be Marcus Bridge of Sound Of Seasons, who had previously auditioned for the group. After the break you can check out his tryout for the group.

“Hey Everyone,

While we have been working as hard as we can on Rot, we’ve noticed there’s a fair bit of conjecture flying around the internet about who our new vocalist is, and a few other topics surrounding this. We have a few things to say.

1 – The vocalist we chose was not picked prior to public auditions. We would never do something like run public auditions for mere publicity. That would be unethical and deceitful to not only our fans but those involved in the process. We wouldn’t screw with the hopes and aspirations of close to 2000 people just for hype. It was hard enough for us to break the news to the finalists that didn’t make the cut. When you find out who he is, you will know him from the audition process.

2 – We won’t announce who he is until Rot is released on November 21. The reason for this is simple, we don’t want him to be judged prior to you all hearing him on a Northlane track. Northlane is first and foremost always about the music we create. So it makes sense that the best way to introduce a new member of our band is via the music we created with that member.

3 – He’s not going to ruin what you love about Northlane. We picked the person that we thought fit best and had the most versatile voice. We also found someone that we feel embodies what our band is about. We aren’t making any compromises here.

4 – Our message, and what we are about has not changed.

We are all extremely excited about what the future holds, we will continue to progress and evolve like we always have. Can’t wait for you all to hear Rot and Northlane 2.0.
