Tommy Vext Exits Snot, Launches Westfield Massacre With Ex-Divine Heresy Drummer

Amid some confusion and more likely clever publicity, two former members of Divine Heresy reunited earlier this year. That outfit has now been revealed to be Westfield Massacre and features the following lineup:

Vocals – Tommy Vext (Vext, ex-Divine Heresy/Snot)
Guitars – Bill Hudson II (ex-Savatage, etc.)
Guitars – Rick DiMarco (ex-Death Division)
Drums – Tim Yeung (ex-Divine Heresy/Hate Eternal, etc.)

Scar The Martyr bassist Kyle Konkiel also helped out in the studio on bass duties but is not a full-time member of the outfit. Pre-production is currently underway on a new album with the below stream of the bands debut track “Darkness Divides” having launched today via Metal Injection.

Given Vext‘s new duties, he has decided to step down as the touring vocalist for Snot. That outfit have apparently already found a replacement for their forthcoming Get Some” anniversary tour. Vext told Metal Injection of the move:

“The decision step down from Snot was mutual and ultimately the result of scheduling conflicts. While Snot is on their US tour, The Westfield Massacre will be in preproduction for our full length at Echelon Studios in Burbank, CA. Snot is like family to me. I’m very excited to see the guys coming back to the scene as a full time band. Everyone should go check them out on their upcoming US & European tours. They have an amazing replacement to pay tribute to Lynn Strait & will be performing their debut, Get Some in it’s entirety on both tours.”
