Devin Townsend Praises Lamb Of God’s Tenth Anniversary Reissue Of “As The Palaces Burn”

Devin Townsend has given his thoughts on the tenth anniversary edition of Lamb Of God‘s “As The Palaces Burn“. The album was revisited by producer Josh Wilbur (Gojira, Lamb Of God) and given a new mix and mastering job. A new documentary which features both of the aforementioned participants was also put together for a bonus DVD.

Various production issues plagued the album’s original sessions which Townsend produced—a situation that led many to blame him as the cause for the albums original uneven recording quality.

Speaking through a series of tweets earlier today, Townsend stated:

“A few tweets on the Lamb Of God remix and documentary I just got and watched: 1) It’s a really good closure for myself. It sounds great.

2) Shaun Thingvold, Dan, Carla and everyone in Vancouver saved that record. Without them it wouldn’t exist.

3) The band were very diplomatic and extremely kind in the interview. Thanks for that. Its been a thorn in my side for years.

4) Josh Wilbur is a maniac. I couldnt even imagine the patience it took to make this come to life. What a great job. Ok…as you were = )”

The tenth anniversary edition CD/DVD set of “As The Palaces Burn” will land on store shelves on November 11th. A trailer for the above-mentioned documentary is available here.
