A new report over at nbcsandiego.com from yesterday’s (September 16th) preliminary hearing for As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis gave some more details regarding his murder-for-hire case. The report details some evidence found in Lambesis‘ home after his original May 07th, 2013 arrest. An excerpt from it reads:

“Homicide investigators found a lock box in Lambesis’ Carlsbad home containing “a lot of different quantities” of male enhancement-type drugs, male libido-type drugs and estrogen blocking drugs, Det. John Buckley with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department testified.

There were approximately 30 to 40 vials along with different types of pill packages with more than $12,000 in cash, the detective said.”

The report isn’t all too surprising given a previous defense presented by his attorney that Lambesis‘ “thought processes were devastatingly affected by his steroid use.” Lambesis of course faces a charge of solicitation of another to commit murder in regards to his alleged attempt to hire an undercover detective posing as a hitman to murder his wife Meggan Lambesis this past May.

According to this latest report, Lambesis paid the detective $1000 up front and intended to pay him an additional $19,000 afterwards. Lambesis allegedly told the detective he wanted his wife dead because she was going to take 60% of his income as a result of the divorce and wasn’t allowing their adopted children to go on tour with him.

Lambesis is currently out on bail and is scheduled for arraignment on October 22nd, at which a date for his trial will be set.
