Coheed And Cambria have been forced to postpone their immediate touring plans due to a throat ailment being suffered by vocalist/guitarist Claudio Sanchez. He issued the following statement regarding the situation:
“Hey everybody – I am truly devastated to tell you that I cannot perform tonight in St Louis and that we will be postponing all headline shows this week until after thanksgiving. After holding off last night, we felt confident I’d be good to go today, but I have spent all morning in a doctor’s office here in St Louis where they did a full evaluation on my throat just now and found some swelling that could possibly cause some long term damage if i continue without rest.
I am flying back to NY tonight to see my normal doctor and get fully on the mend. I know this is a big disappointment, especially for those of you in St Louis – it really hurts us to do this, but it’s what we have to do.
We look forward to the rescheduled dates and hope you can understand the reasons for postponing.
