A Tragedy In Progress (aka the original lineup of Across Five Aprils) will begin tracking their new album at Echelon Studios with Joseph McQueen (As I Lay Dying) in December. A teaser for the album can be found below, while band guitarist Jason Fields had the following to say about the effort:
“Going Down With the Ship was a record we made more or less for fun. We weren’t sure what the response to it would be, we just wanted to write some songs and go in the studio and lay them down. The new record I think will be deeper, both lyrically and musically. We want to push ourselves, out of our comfort zones, to make a record that is more progressive and representative of who we are, not who we were. While Going Down With the Ship was a bridge between the old and the new, we want the new record to stand on it’s on and still maintain the elements our fans appreciate.”
