CKY‘s future looks to be uncertain with a lot of internal tensions and conflicting viewpoints coming to a head. The band recently expressed each of their own individual visions for the groups future in a short documentary available below:

I think Chad is right. Ya’ll need to sweat some songs out in a room together. That’s the way to fuckin do it!
Also give the pot a rest for a few weeks.
Pot is a great creative enhancer.
I’ll admit, 4 or 5 guys getting in a room to write can be tough, but goddammit, the results can be spectacular!
When my band writes, we usually get 1/4 or a half of a song written, then get stuck on it for about 2 or 3 weeks. Then all of a sudden we finish the rest of the song in an hour. Shit takes time and effort.
Next to Slipknot, these guys are the biggest drama queens in rock. Either shit or get off the pot. They’re far too irrelevant at this point for the world to care one way or another.
This Chad dude’s kind of a shmuck, eh?
Wait, why the fuck is the bass player getting his own album again? Hasn’t he only been in the band like a year? Cky is Deron, Chad and Jess, bass player has always be disposable. And I totally agree with Mr. Censored, this band is far too irrelevant at this point to give a fuck either way. Either make more Cky, which is good in it’s own little box but no where near as monumental or ground breaking as these fucks seem to think it is, or fucking don’t. They continually write one specific type of music over and over, I wish they’d all quit acting like the goddamn rock world is revolving around them, bunch of fucking drama queens, Deron especially (he’s always been the biggest one). “Let’s all record seperately” vs. “let’s all record together”… who fucking cares?
I don’t think they ARE irrelevant, so much as they have MADE themselves irrelevant by straying from the formula of the early days. Because if they did release something as good as, or better than I.D.R. people would notice. People would get big on them again, and for some odd reason, Bam would get a new show on MTV.
CKY is the very underrated in my opinion. I.D.R. and An Answer to Be Found are both amaaaaazing rock records. Volume 1 and Carver City are great too, but i feel I.D.R. and Answer best represent what they are. And i’m not crazy about the solo records idea, atleast from Jess and Deron (although Deron is a part of World Under Blood, check them out), but after hearing the CKY song “Afterworld”, which Chad wrote and did all the vocals for, i’d buy a solo album by him in a heartbeat, cuz thats the best song CKY has put out since I.D.R.
