The ever-prolific Devin Townsend was in a sharing mood this weekend, uploading a video of demo ideas for various new projects he has in the works. Of the clip, which can be taken in below, he said:
“Heres a small taste of a ton of stuff I have on the go… all demos for 4 or 5 different projects. All of this stuff may get used or get scrapped. No idea yet. Taking it slow and making it perfect ; ) Delegating what goes where and when etc can be a bit of a brain buster…”
He also released the below teaser for his Casualties Of Cool project which finds him teamed with vocalist Ché Aimee Dorval and drummer Morgan Ågren (Fredrik Thordendal’s Special Defects, etc.).
Speaking through his Twitter late last night he said of the projects:
“Busy planning Ziltoid TV pilot episodes… Hopefully 4 or 5 months away, could work, could be a total failure, but going to be epic. Casualties about 80% done and that’ll be the next thing I hope… Really where I’ve been at, and may ostracize many. Fuck it though, right? Then Z2 I hope folowing on the Ztv stuff, creatively all very exciting. I have no desire to chase commercial acceptance. Thanks for joining! All this subject to change of course…as always…”
He later added:
“Casualties is dark, quiet, stony, and odd. Sort of Johnny Cash in outerspace… Made to create a mood late late at night. Comfortably creepy”
