Anthrax will once again be using the services of drummer Jon Dette (ex-Slayer/Testament) during their immediate Australian touring. Band guitarist Scott Ian explained drummer Charlie Benante‘s frequent absences behind the kit via Twitter last night with the following:
“Charlie is dealing with personal issues right now and can’t leave the country. He’s really bummed about not being able to head down there.”
While not explicitly specified, those “personal issues” are thought to be related to Benante’s arrest last year after an altercation with his wife turned ugly.
