Norman Markus, the driver of Baroness‘ bus at the time of their horrific crash during their UK tour last August, is facing charges relating to the accident. Markus, 39, is set to appear before the court on April 05th.
According to the BBC, charges he is facing stem from “using a vehicle with defective brakes”; along with breaching a 7.5 ton weight limit. Other charges include operating a vehicle likely to cause danger or injury and not having the proper license to operate said vehicle.
Meanwhile, Baroness vocalist/guitarist John Baizley recently told ARTISTdirect.com that his life is getting back to normal following the accident. He also mentioned that new music is in the works. On that front he commented:
“I am writing more now and painting more now. Since the accident in August, I’ve been using art and music as rehabilitation for myself. There’s plenty of new music being written. It’s not all necessarily Baroness. I’ve been doing some recording projects with some other artists and collaborations. I’ve been making artwork furiously, and I’m back on my unhealthy 18-hour work day again.”
