Cave In frontman Stephen Brodsky recently confirmed to Noisecreep that the track “Effigy” from Converge‘s latest album “Axe To Fall” initially came to be through the infamous Verge-In sessions.
The “Axe To Fall” version of “Effigy” also features guest appearances from Brodsky himself along with drummer J.R. Connors and guitarist Adam McGrath.
The fabled sessions saw members of Cave In and Converge team up in 2004 for a collaborative project dubbed Verge-In that failed to ever publically materialize. Brodsky further went on to state that some of the material eventually seeing the light of day is not entirely out of the question.
