Per a report from ABC affiliate WHAS11, a woman was left paralyzed during Knocked Loose‘s set at this past weekend’s ‘Louder Than Life‘ festival in Louisville, KY. The incident is said to have occurred when a man who had climbed a tree during the Kentucky-based metalcore band’s set fell on top of her, leaving her paralyzed from the waist down. She told the aforementioned station of her condition since the injury at the fest, “I can’t feel my feet. Can’t do anything that I used to.”
That woman, Jamie Ulshoffer, said she and her significant other were near the back corner of the tented stage during Knocked Loose‘s performance. Four trees were situated near where Jamie was seated at the time the fellow concertgoer fell from the tree onto her. Her spinal cord is said to have been severed in the injury.
Ulschoffer said she remembers nothing from the moment of impact until waking up in a hospital bed. She also shared a message to the individual who fell on her, stating: “He shouldn’t have been up there. Definitely after it just rained, too. Stupid decision. You did this, but I’ll forgive.”
