YOB have plans to hit the studio this year for their long-awaited follow-up to their 2018 album “Our Raw Heart“. The progressive doom metal band’s drummer Dave French recently spoke of their upcoming studio time during a guest appearance on ‘Mostly Yelling‘ podcast hosted by Greg Kennelty.
During that chat, which was centered around French‘s solo project Semantron and its newly released album “Secrets Of A Krummholz Heart“, French had an update to share about YOB‘s plans, as well as the potential future of another French-related project: Brothers Of The Sonic Cloth. That latter venture finds him paired with Tad Doyle and more.
“Well, yeah, we’re going into the studio pretty darn soon, YOB. We’re going in later this year. In no time, we’re going in the studio. We’re gonna be putting a new record out early next year. Brothers Of The Sonic Cloth — I’m still hopeful, man. I’m still hopeful. We talk about it every once in a while. If I had the time right now, I would just instigate it — just say, here’s the drum parts, all recorded and ready to go. Exactly.”
In related news, YOB have also announced an October 07th show at the returning Saint Vitus Bar in Brooklyn, NY.
