A new report just filed by TMZ has provided more detail in regards to turntablist Sid Wilson‘s apparent ejection from Slipknot. TMZ broke the news of Sid‘s alleged firing last Friday, July 31st. While neither party have issued a statement as of yet, cryptic posts have emerged online from parties, both in, and connected, to the band over the weekend
TMZ‘s new report once again cites unnamed sources apparently close to the band. The publication stated that Wilson‘s behavior towards his bandmates in the group had apparently become an issue and reached a breaking point. According to the report, band had mooted his firing for sometime now, with the report noting it was ‘a long time coming.’ It was also stated by TMZ that word of Wilson‘s dismissal getting out before masked metal band could announce it on their own terms, ’caused the band to freak out behind the scenes.’
Thus far, neither party has spoken on the matter, with Wilson avoiding the question over the weekend after being asked in-person. Wilson was one of the classic era nine members of the band and a fixture amid their live performances for his daredevil antics.
