Controversial rap-rock/country star Kid Rock launched his ‘Freedom 250 Tour‘ last night (May 01st) at the Does Equis Pavilion in Dallas, TX. A prepared video package for that patriotic trek found the noted conservative seemingly thumbing his nose at his detractors over the recent uproar of an unsanctioned military flyby that occurred at Rock‘s Nashville, TN mansion, ‘The Southern White House’.

This past March, a pair of AH-64 Apache attack helicopters stopped by Kid Rock‘s mansion, hovering near his pool, while he enthusiastically cheered them on and saluted. An initial investigation into the matter saw the aircrew involved suspended for their actions, however, U.S. Secretary Of War Pete Hegseth would quickly lift that suspension, dropping all investigations into the matter.

Rock, himself a noted friend and supporter of U.S. President Donald J. Trump, commented ahead of that suspension being lifted, stating:

“I think they’re gonna be alright, my buddy’s the commander-in-chief [laughs.] I mean what are they looking into? They stopped for seconds —I don’t know, a minute? Maybe they were here 3-4 minutes, you know? Just say ‘what’s up’ and went on.”

Capitalizing on the media attention that incident generated, Rock and Hegseth doubled down and went up for a flight in a pair of AH-64 Apache helicopters, filming their time together for a video package to kickoff the trek. You can see fan-filmed footage of that below.

Despite Rock partnering with the Trump administration to champion legislation against Live Nation/Ticketmaster, Rock ultimately wound up partnering with the aforementioned companies for this new spring/summer tour, albeit with various new terms enacted.
