With A Vengeance (Ex-Bad Wolves, Etc.) Tease Their Debut Single "Shared Light"

Former Bad Wolves, etc. vocalist Tommy Vext has shared his thoughts on his fledgling new band With A Vengeance. While he and Bad Wolves had an infamously messy split that saw the courts involved, recent years saw Vext set out to buy the rights to the Bad Wolves namesake in a reported 7-figure deal.

While that acquisition ultimately fell apart, Vext has since reteamed with his former Bad Wolves bandmate in Chris Cain in a new group dubbed With A Vengeance. That pair have since bolstered their ranks with the addition of guitarist Angel Vivaldi, who previously played with Vext in the past. Drummer Austin D’Amond (Chimaira/Bleed The Sky/Verona On Venus, etc.) has also signed on, as has Xander Raymond Charles, who was previously set to Ill Niño earlier this year before the band went in another direction.

With a music video for their debut single “Shared Light” apparently in the works, With A Vengeance have newly shared a tease of what’s to come below. Vext also noted that Periphery vocalist Spencer Sotelo had a hand in the matter. Vext stated the following of this new endeavor on social media yesterday, April 24th:

“This next chapter has been a long road. There was a time I thought I might walk away from music, but something in me refused to let go. Reuniting with Chris Cain brought purpose back to everything we built and lost. Coming back together with Angel Vivaldi after more than a decade of friendship and two records feels like the right moment. Xander Raymond Charles brings new energy and forward thinking creativity, and Austin brings that deep groove and power I have always loved. Working with Spencer Sotelo from Periphery pushed me to another level. These men reignited my will to keep going.

To everyone who stood by me, showed up, bought tickets, and believed in me when it was not easy, you carried me when I could not carry myself. When I was written off, you stayed. I am beyond grateful. I cannot wait for you to hear this record and step into this next chapter with me.”

Vext‘s aforementioned post got a show of support from another controversial musician familiar with comebacks: As I Lay Dying vocalist Tim Lambesis. The latter said in the comments of Vext‘s post, “I’m excited for this chapter of music and that you’re surrounded by people who want to grow!”
