Hard rock legends Guns N’ Roses had a first-ever live performance of their cover of “Black Leather” in store for fans over the weekend. The group dropped that rendition of the track commonly attributed to seminal punk rockers Sex Pistols into their setlist during their April 18th show at the Arena Castelão in Fortaleza, Brazil. Bassist Duff McKagan took over the lead vocals for the song, which Guns N’ Roses first tackled back in 1993 on their platinum-selling covers effort “The Spaghetti Incident?“.
Those fully dialed into the world of Guns N’ Roses might have suspected this song would make it into the setlist sooner than later, as McKagan and the band’s guitarist Slash recently covered it live at a tribute show alongside ex-Guns N’ Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke and more.
