Back in 2024 The Pretty Reckless vocalist/guitarist Taylor Momsen was able to largely shrug off a bat bite that occurred onstage while her band opened for hard rock titans AC/DC in Seville, Spain. In a cruel twist of fate, she recently had close encounter with a spider, once again while on tour with the Australian legends, this time in Mexico City last week. Unlike the bat bite, this latest ordeal has been a test of her resilience.
On April 08th Momsen shared footage of her receiving medical treatment in the immediate aftermath of the poisonous spider biting her leg. In a post shared yesterday, April 14th, Momsen showed off the subsequent gnarly rash on her leg that has formed since suffering that bite. Speaking of it yesterday, she offered: “”Hospital today, show tomorrow, poisonous spiders are NO BUENO but the show must go on, see you tomorrow Mexico City!”
However, a follow-up post shared today, instead revealed that Momsen felt worse than expected yesterday and spent the night in the hospital due to lingering symptoms from the bite. As of press time there has been no announcement yet whether or not The Pretty Reckless will be able to take the stage tonight with AC/DC at the GNP Seguros in Mexico City.
