Revolver magazine have revealed the recipients of their key awards of the year in their newly revealed issue. If print media isn’t your thing, the winners of several key categories were shared by the publication online today, November 28th.

First up, Californian alternative metal trendsetters Deftones took home the ‘Artist Of The Year’ for 2025. Having successfully graduated to arena headliners this year, the veteran Californian band released their tenth studio album “private music” to critical acclaim.

Thanks to continued interest across social media, they’ve also managed to transcend their fanbase to younger generations, while further cementing themselves as a key influence among much of burgeoning shoegaze revival that has been blossoming in the underground as of late.

Sleep Token‘s chart history making fourth studio album “Even In Arcadia” has landed the ‘Album Of The Year’ award. Like Deftones, that record too cemented Sleep Token as bonafide arena headliners across multiple continents. The resulting touring on that record has also seen the mysterious alternative metallers ratchet up their stage production to befit their elevated status, delivering staggering visuals and physical props.

The ‘Song Of The Year’ award went to, “End Of You“, the collaborative track released this past September featuring Evanescence‘s Amy Lee, Spiritbox‘s Courtney LaPlante, and Poppy. Ex-Bring Me The Horizon keyboardist, etc. Jordan Fish had a hand in the writing/production of that track, as did LaPlante‘s Spiritbox bandmate and husband, Mike Stringer.

As for ‘Live Band Of The Year’, Ghost took home that title. The Swedish occult rockers also had a gigantic year, opening at #1 on the Billboard 200 with their latest record, “Skeletá“. Outside of scoring numerous platinum certifications in the United States as well for past singles, the masked outfit also staged arena tours across multiple continents.

Controversially though, those tours took place with the group effectively banning smartphone usage in the audience. That decision was spurred by a previous live concert filming experience Ghost partook in and was ultimately implemented across the band’s 2025 touring with the intent of fully engaging the audience during Ghost‘s performances.
