Fictional G.I Joe-related metal band Cold Slither have begun streaming their exclusive b-side track “Cobra Island“. That song has been made available via Decibel Magazine’s flexi disc series. While Cold Slither first debuted in the ‘G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero‘ cartoon all the way back in 1985, the fictional band, who set out to brainwash the youth of America with subliminal messaging in their music, were brought into the real world this year in celebration of their episode turning 40.

Gus Ríos (Gruesome, ex-Malevolent Creation) took point in assembling the real-life version of Cold Slither, assuming the role of ‘Zartan‘. His ‘Dreadnok‘ bandmates consist of Ross Sewage (Exhumed, Ghoul, etc.) as ‘Torch‘, Matt Harvey (Exhumed, Gruesome, etc.) as ‘Ripper‘, and Andy Selway (KMFDM) as ‘Buzzer‘.

After releasing their self-titled debut album earlier this year, and hitting the stage for the first time this past July, the group will be back onstage tomorrow, October 11th at the Gramercy Theatre in New York, NY.
