GWAR will mark their 40th anniversary on the road this fall with a newly announced headlining run. The interplanetary shock rockers will also be supporting their joint new multimedia release “The Return Of Gor Gor” (out July 25th) on that venture, which will deliver both new music and a new comic book. Vocalist Blöthar the Berserker commented:
“Gor Gor demands sacrifice! The Tyrant Teen is all grown up and he wants love! Don’t look him in the eye!! The beast demands a bride! Come in your bridal finery. An ocean of chiffon to satisfy the bloodlust of the great lizard!”
Opening this run will be influential alternative metal unit Helmet, who will be performing songs spanning from 1989 through to 2025. Also booked are long-running punk faction the Dwarves, and Blood Vulture, the fledgling musical venture from Jordan “Gwarsenio Hall” Olds of Two Minutes To Late Night fame.
