Emberthrone‘s new single “Dulling The Blade” was released today, April 16th. A visualizer for that track can be found below. The band’s lineup consists of vocalist Monte Barnard (ex-Fallujah touring member), guitarist Martin Bianchini (Dance Gavin Dance session member) and bassist Quentin Garcia (Man On the Moon). Their newest recruit is drummer Andrew Baird (All Shall Perish, ex-Fallujah), who replaces Gabe Seeber (Obscura, Decrepit Birth, Vale Of Pnath, etc.).

Emberthrone‘s new EP “Cursive” has been scheduled for a July 04th release on Seek And Strike. Vocalist Monte Barnard checked in with the following to say about this latest cut from it:

“This is my favorite song Martin and I have ever written together. Martin and I go back almost 20 years, and Quentin has been with Emberthrone since day one, their writing has shaped the core of our sound. Bringing in Andrew on drums took things to another level. ‘Dulling the Blade’ explores how we cope with the weight of daily life, sometimes in healthy ways, and sometimes through self-destruction. It’s about the things we think are helping us, but may actually be making things worse.”

Pre-saves for “Cursive” are available through orcd.co/emberthronecursive.
