VOWWS have put up a new song titled “Hurt You“. It’s their second new single this year, surfacing online after this past January’s “Blood’s On Fire“. The Australian industrial rock duo elaborated a bit on the inspiration behind this latest offering as follows:
“This is probably as close as we’ll get to an actual love song. But it’s more like a memory of love, like a rose-tinted longing. Memories that feel more powerful with time as they wear out, becoming warmer and more romantic. Sometimes they change and become their own entity, like an old, flickering movie of the past, rather than the past itself. That feeling is what the song represents to us.”
The group are leading up to their as-yet unannounced new album, which has seen Billy Howerdel of A Perfect Circle assist with co-writing and co-production duties. In other news, VOWWS have also announced some new European shows, including headline stops and dates supporting grunge legend Jerry Cantrell. Here’s what’s been booked:
