Per a newly published report via Law360.com, David Draiman, vocalist of multi-platinum nü-metal/hard rock outfit Disturbed, filed a lawsuit against his now former landlord earlier this month. According to the report, Draiman had been paying $18,500 a month to rent out a six-bedroom 5,200 sq ft home in Coral Gables, FL.
In a suit filed on March 11th, 2025, Draiman claimed the landlord had misrepresented the condition of the house, which Draiman insists he discovered had previously undisclosed issues leaks and mold.
Draiman alleges that upon confronting the landlord over the issues, he was assured that they would be fixed. However, according to Draiman, that did not happen in a timely fashion, leading him to move out of the property. Draiman is said to be seeking the return of his $37,000 security deposit and has accused the landlord of engaging in fraudulent misrepresentation, unjust enrichment and negligence.
Draiman‘s legal representative said in the complaint that the alleged presence of mold in the home, “impacts [Draiman‘s] ability to sing as he is lead singer of a prominent rock band with tour dates and recording time and fully advised defendant of the same.” “The uninhabitability and mold concerns, among others, resulted in impacts to plaintiff’s singing career, recording and studio time with medical concerns.”
Ironically with medical issues being cited, this development comes as Disturbed have been out on the road celebrating 25 years of their hit debut album “The Sickness“. The remaining dates for that trek can be found below.
