In September of 2024, progressive metalcore band Veil Of Maya announced they were going on hiatus. The group were fresh off a challenging run headlining last year’s ‘Summer Slaughter Tour‘ — a trek which struggled to draw audiences at a number of dates.
The group’s plans to take some time off didn’t appear to be predetermined either, as it also saw them withdraw from a planned European/UK tour. While the band have yet to address their status going forward, it appears that their eventual return may find them exploring heavier territory.
While it may have just been a shitpost, the band’s guitarist Marc Okubo took to X today, January 30th, to state the following:
