Polish blackened death metal outfit Behemoth have long espoused Satanism throughout their music and imagery. Their frequent acts of blasphemy against Christianity have also seen them draw heat and legal action from the religiously-minded powers that be in their home country. From ripping up bibles onstage, to “offending religious feelings“, the group are no strangers to controversy.
Hell, in 2021 the band’s vocalist/guitarist Adam “Nergal” Darski launched a crowdfunded legal defense campaign to assist artists in Poland who faced legal action after running afoul of Christian values.
Yesterday, December 25th, the band set out to stir the pot a bit more, releasing the near-minute long video titled “T.S.O.G.“. Instead of partaking in the annual celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ observed practicing Christians, the group put up the below teaser:
