Alternative metal band Falling In Reverse have newly earned a 3x platinum ceritfication for their 2019 hit single, “Popular Monster“. That track first went gold in the United States back in December of 2020 and most recently was certified 2x platinum in December of last year.
That song was also included on the band’s current album of the same name, helping give the early numbers of that since gold-certified effort an early boost.
The band’s controversial vocalist Ronnie Radke took to social media to speak of this development, offering:
“[These certifications] are literally extremely significant and important to the culture to our music — rock music — and adjacent genres and everything. So, I just want to say from the bottom of my heart thank you very much.”
He later went on to add:
“This is insane. Can’t believe that I’m even saying that I’ll be a diamond artist in seven years. Me. The most hated on, who gets hated on, in 80 songs, and you all hate ’em all so much and you exaggerate it. There’s no such thing, like a female with good looks who cooks and cleans.”
