Decapitated will return to North America for their first proper headlining tour of the territory since being arrested and detained amid their fall 2017 trek. Members of the band were jailed for several weeks on the charges of rape and kidnapping of a female fan on their tour bus in Seattle, WA during that aforementioned run.
However, as the legal proceedings continued, all charges against the group were formally dropped, with the band’s camp stating at the time, “New evidence arose that helped show that the band was innocent. While a trial would have given the band the opportunity to have all this evidence heard, the band welcome the decision and are excited to return back to their homes in Poland.”
Since then, the group have largely avoided touring North America until this year. They returned for a North American co-headliner earlier in 2024 with Septicflesh. The Polish technical death metal/groove metal band will be back next year to celebrate their 2002 sophomore album “Nihility” in full on this trek, which will find Incantation as direct support.
The latter death metal vets will be taking it back to 1994 for this new tour, performing their sophomore album “Mortal Throne Of Nazarene” during this new run. Darkest Hour and Exmortus round out the bill.
