They say you should never judge a book by its cover, but in this case perhaps you shouldn’t judge a book by its author. Anthony Lucero, vocalist for sludgy metalcore outfit Cult Leader, has penned a children’s book titled ‘The Cosmic Dread Who Lives Beneath The Bed‘.
Lucero also took on the illustrative duties for the 32-page hardcover book, which is available now through deathwishinc.com. The following summary was offered of the book via its product listing, ‘Through starkly powerful black and white illustrations, Lucero tells the story of a boy learning to accept the lonely, dreadful monster who lives beneath his bed.’
Lucero himself offered, “This comes from a very personal place. Childhood is at the center of the story but my hope is that anyone can find something that resonates within it.”
