After weeks of speculation, the third merch collaboration between multi-platinum nü-metal pioneers Korn and athletic apparel giant Adidas has been unveiled. Early on in their career, Korn‘s preferred attire of Adidas track suits saw the form of athletic wear become a staple amid the audiences of the then burgeoning nü-metal scene.
Knowing how much value their association with the clothing brand was bringing to Adidas brand, Korn sought to reach a sponsorship deal, however, Adidas weren’t entirely receptive to the idea.
Their reluctance allowed Adidas rival Puma to swoop in, signing the band to a $500,000 sponsorship deal that saw them abandon the iconic three stripes for a number of years.
In 2023, Korn and Adidas found common footing and launched their first official merch drop together. A second drop came out this past May. Both of those drops were limited edition and sold out quickly, having since been coveted by the band’s rabid fanbase.
This newly confirmed third line will launch shortly, with the Adidas Originals account stating the following about availability earlier today, October 25th:
“Celebrating 30 years of iconic band @korn_official, round three of the adidas Originals x KoRn collaboration has arrived!
Sign up now until 31st October on adidas APP and CONFIRMED to get your hands on the new drop. This collection will be available on adidas.com and select stores while products last.”
Per the below gallery, band-themed shoes, shirts, beanies, a hoodie and more will be released.
