Update: October 25th, 2024 01:19pm:

A statement from As I Lay Dying has been issued regarding the disappearance of “Shaped By Fire” from streaming services. That statement also offers up a brief update on the current situation regarding the band. Speaking via their social media account this afternoon, they stated:

“Sorry for the temporary inconvenience of Shaped By Fire not being available on streaming services. We had a 5 year distribution deal that has been fulfilled and the album has reverted back to being owned by the band. It will be put back online, but we just need a moment for the processing to take place.

Beyond that, we are still sorting through details of what is going on within AILD and will have more details for you soon.”

Original Story:

As I Lay Dying‘s 2019 release “Shaped By Fire” has mysteriously vanished from digital service providers amid the metalcore band’s rather dramatic week. Three members of the group, bassist/vocalist Ryan Neff, guitarist Ken Susi, and drummer Nick Pierce, have all quit the band over the past few days, with guitarist Phil Sgrosso planning to soon make a statement of his own regarding his future status in the outfit.

Shaped By Fire” was the group’s first album since vocalist Tim Lambesis served several years in prison after pleading guilty in 2013 for a murder-for-hire plot that targeted his wife at the time as his intended victim.

That record briefly reunited the group’s lineup of guitarist/vocalists Nick Hipa & Phil Sgrosso, bassist/vocalist Josh Gilbert, and drummer Jordan Mancino. However, the roster for that reunion, which came about following shared therapy sessions, was short-lived with Lambesis and Sgrosso rebuilding the band in 2022.

Shaped By Fire” emerged through Nuclear Blast as their sole album through that label, with the band having since signed with Napalm Records for their upcoming outing, “Through Storms Ahead“, due out November 15th.

Rumors of domestic violence and infidelity surrounding Tim and his current wife Dany were quick to spread online this week amid the shocking wave of departures. However, yesterday (October 24th) saw Dany publicly refute those allegations in a statement of her own.
