An onstage tumble at this year’s ‘Louder Than Life‘ festival in Louisville, KY saw Five Finger Death Punch frontman Ivan Moody fracture a rib. His hand and side also sustained some injury amid the fall. In a video shared on his Instagram stories, Moody commented of his time at the hospital:
“After the adrenaline wore off this morning I woke up… and I’ve got a bruise that’s running down from the inside of my armpit down to my knee, and my hand feels like its shattered… look at that. So, well see.”
A follow-up post saw Moody sharing the official diagnosis of a rib fracture. He relayed of that, “You gotta be fucking kidding me. It’s always something, man. Well, I will say this much, it was worth it.”
As you may have heard, weather conditions have not been entirely favorable at the festival this weekend, with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene having impacted the state of Kentucky. The winds were bad enough that yesterday’s (September 27th) date of the event was canceled with concertgoers being urged to shelter in place.
Five Finger Death Punch‘s set took place a day prior on September 26th, and while that date did go forward, inclement rain arriving later in the evening made for a soggy experience during some of the headlining sets.
