More industry accolades have come the way of alternative metal band Falling In Reverse. The Ronnie Radke-fronted outfit have just landed their second gold album, with this past August’s “Popular Monster” having been certified as such by the RIAA for its sales and streaming performance in the United States.

Thanks to several of its included singles having emerged years prior, the record had a bit of a leg up in hitting gold status so quickly. As such, “Popular Monsteropened at #12 on the Billboard 200, shifting 30,929 units in its first week on the charts.

However, thanks to the aforementioned string of hit singles from it that have arrived in the years since 2019, the record totaled 723,000 album equivalent units in the U.S. as of its second week of release.

The title track to the album first back in 2019 and was certified 2x multi-platinum this past December. Likewise, “Voices In My Head“, “Zombified” and “Watch The World Burn” had all obtained gold status individually in the United States months ahead of the release of this newly certified album.

A platinum album/single in the United States represents 1,000,000 units, while gold signifies 500,000 units. Outside of traditional physical/digital sales, the certifications factor in digital streams/downloads with 10 permanent track downloads counting as 1 unit and 1500 on-demand audio/video streams from a particular album also counting as as a unit.
