Alice In Chains will be marking the 15th anniversary of their 2009 comeback album “Black Gives Way To Blue” this year. That effort was the legendary grunge band’s first since the 2002 passing of their vocalist Layne Staley. It saw William DuVall welcomed into the fold as his replacement. The album would go on to secure gold status in the United States less than a year after its release.
A new vinyl reissue on multiple different pressings is being prepared for the upcoming anniversary, along with a limited edition coffee table photo book (‘AIC‘) encapsulating the last 15 years of the band’s career. Some associated clothing is also up for grabs. The vinyl is expected to ship around October 04th, with the book to arrive sometime in November. Pre-orders are available now through found.ee/aic-bgwtb.
The band stated:
“To celebrate 15 years of Black Gives Way To Blue on September 29th, we’re reissuing the album on vinyl in addition to a custom jacket, exclusively available on our webstore. We are also proud to announce a limited edition coffee table book with photos spanning the last 15 years of our career, in tribute to our late friend and longtime crewmember Scott Dachroeden, who shot many of these pictures on and off the stage.”
