Yosemite In Black have recently found themselves at the center of some viral attention online. The Atlanta, GA hardcore outfit have been hammering away at their craft for a number of years now, but a live in-studio performance of “Cold Shoulder” for Lawnchair Youth has recently introduced them to a whole new audience. That video, which is streaming below, has notched up 122k views in just five days of availability as of press time.
Undoubtedly a fair percentage of that interest was spurred by the stature of the group’s bassist Cody Jenkins, who as a little person, is somewhat of an anomaly in the hardcore scene. It turns out though that Jenkins is no slouch, and his performance and playing ability on the track was met with an overwhelmingly positive response in the comments to said video on the official YouTube upload.
This boost to the outfit’s profile couldn’t come at a better time too, as they’re preparing to release their new album “The Pursuit Of” on August 16th. Pre-orders are available now through terminushatecity.com.
