Australian hard rock titans AC/DC have commented on the passing of their original drummer, Colin Burgess. The 77-year-old had a short tenure with the outfit which lasted roughly four months before being dismissed. Burgess appeared on the band’s debut single, “Can I Sit Next To You, Girl“.
Outside of AC/DC, Burgess also performed in the rock & roll outfit The Masters Apprentices and His Majesty. AC/DC commented overnight:
“Very sad to hear of the passing of Colin Burgess. He was our first drummer and a very respected musician. Happy memories, rock in peace Colin.”
No cause of death was provided.
