In a development I myself was personally unaware of, an old early 2000s post I made on this very site helped then high school-attending musician Walker Warren join a major label nü-metal band he was idolizing at the time, Trust Company (aka TRUSTcompany).
Warren was 18 at the time he auditioned for the band back around 2004 and recently began a video series documenting what it was like joining a relatively established outfit while essentially fresh out of high school (he managed to graduate early to join the band.)
In the below first instalment of that series, he managed to even track down the original 2004 Theprp.com post about the band holding auditions for a new bassist that led to him finding out about a vacancy in the band’s lineup. The series chronicles how he went from covering Trust Company in a high school garage band to eventually joining them as a member on the road.
TRUSTcompany were signed to Geffen Records at the time and notched themselves up a gold record in the United States with their 2002 debut album for the label, “The Lonely Position Of Neutral“.
