Metallica‘s annual tradition of teaming up with the San Francisco Giants for a ‘Metallica Night‘ may have been hampered this year by the COVID-19 pandemic, but the two parties have made the best of the situation. Last night (September 23rd) the band’s James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett served up a remote performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner” and more for the Giants‘ home game against the Colorado Rockies. This performance marks the eighth annual ‘Metallica Night‘ to be hosted by the San Francisco Giants.
