Philip H. Anselmo‘s En Minor will make their worldwide debut at this year’s ‘Psycho Las Vegas‘. That event will be held at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, NV from August 16th-18th. Speaking in January of 2018 on the project, the Down/ex-Pantera, etc. frontman stated:
“The name of the band really says it all: It’s my appreciation for songs written in a minor key. That’s a lifetime of influences — everything from U2‘s ‘Drowning Man,’ ‘She’s Leaving Home‘ by the Beatles, or even — this is gonna sound crazy — there’s a Fishbone song called “Pouring Rain‘ that’s beautiful. Songs like that. It makes for a very different listen, and I look forward to the conversation we can have when it comes out.”
At the time Anselmo said Superjoint guitarist Kevin Bond, Down drummer Jimmy Bower and guitarist Bobby Landgraf comprised the band’s core lineup along with Philip H Anselmo & The Illegals‘ Steve Taylor on bass. They have a debut album titled “When The Cold Truth Has Worn Its Miserable Welcome Out” completed with release details still pending.
This year’s ‘Psycho Las Vegas‘ event will also feature Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, Clutch, Deafheaven and many more.
